I have no desire to encucumber you but I have many more if you wish to see. House construction here is very labour intensive but there are hordes of them and they sing and joke as they work. They are also very proud of their skills and craftsmanship.

Hi Pippa, just Anne and me plus a granny flat for 85 year old mother in law and an unmarried sister-in-law. Finish scheduled for late January.

Everyone does, unless they can afford to import roof tiles from Europe, same applies to bricks.

Everyone does, unless they can afford to import roof tiles from Europe, same applies to bricks. i need new glasses, they looked like tiles to me. corrugrated metal rooves bring back memories of them creaking at night, contracting after soaking up the hot african sun in the day. you'll have to throw a cyber 'moving in' party, Alan - then we we can toast - i cant find the drinks smilie <shampoo all round> editoh dear, Alan - i just re read my post and the creaking roof bit sounds like criticism. it wasn't at all, to the contrary - those memories are nostalgic ones.. chin chin
