Join a fluffy, touchy-feely board if that's what you aspire to. And heaven forbid that you should get involved with any of that touchy-feely stuff...... Asking gardening questions and crap like that.......oops,sorry......it's OK when you do it,eh?

Be prepared for a gold edged invite after this, ol' girl! The gilded one will sponsor you and Jean will second. Then, when you fall out with them, as you will (we know you, remember!), you can come back here and spill the beans. OK, there might be a cast iron confidentially clause about that but you can give us the odd nudge and wink, can't you?. But that's the point m'dear. I,like you,am not interested in cliquey closed boards. (Actually,as I write this,I can hear gales of virtual laughter from many who suspect your vitriol stems from not being a member of said board!) As to spilling beans. Well......we exchanged plenty of PMs in the past and I never once broke any confidences contained within them. Sorry to disappoint.

<<Don't do it, marchesa, or I promise you that you will disappear from this board faster than you can think. Abuse me all you like, but leave other posters out of it.. >>
<<Same goes for you, nay.. >>
<<If you value your Climate Blog you'll be a bit more careful to curb your nastiness in future.>>
when exactly did Jean have this power to threaten posters here in this nasty fashion, how did that happen? i object most strongly to anyone with such a strong bias as Jean being in a position of power to use her control freakery to silence anyone. if she can call the shots i dont see any point in discussing anything with her.
there are so many posters who have either been banned as a result of cakeboard conniving or been on the receiving end of their sly boots. and, while they might not necessarily work as a cakeboard team, in unison, there is always, from what i have seen, at least one member of the cakeboard whenever any mobbing occurs on any of the beeb boards - other boards too for that matter. always at least one cakeboarder in every clique. and as for the current mobbing of Johnny'sMoth there are at least two, Jean and aqua. . marchesa, naymissus, Sim and myself have personal experience of them and i believe Sin probably has too if in any way she ever fell foul of the poisonous red dwarf. now i may be wrong but suspect Jamesjosh has fallen foul of them too.
just off the top of my head, so there are bound to be lots more not included, i recall names that got banned having been mobbed by cakeboarders: pinkpunk, Big@l, kassandra, enginetorque, Jerry le something or other (all having been subjected to mobbing and subsequent banning), by names i recognise as cakeboarders. not only that, but they have subsequently been demonised by those cakeboarders who to this day delight in discussing their conquests actual or perceived. why, i've even seen my own name discussed not that long ago, on the archers board as " anti-feminazzi" or sumsuch which gave me a giggle considering i've rarely ever posted there.
oh and not banned but definitely mobbed by members of the cakeboard: starlilollil, view from the north, integrity uk, JamesStGeorge, RichardTovey, just a few i recall.

If you are on that board , get off quick! It has Jean, Gerda, Suziemoon (if ever I meet her again I will give her a good spanking), Redbookish, Spesh, and a host of quite nasty 'liberals' who just cannot tolerate anything not approved by the Guardian book of censure; Jokes, words. prejudices, definitions of racism, misogyny, xenophobia, homophobia, heterophobia old Uncle Tom Cobley and all.... Spesh ventures out to rounds of applause from Jean. Silly naymissus. I doubt you've read the Guardian this last 50 years. (I haven't, much, for 20.) Makes it easier to make things up tho, doesn't it, you old imperialist misogynistic xenophobic queen? But my main beef is that you haven't mentioned me, the cakemember with aditudet, who's persona non grata with Spesh at least.

I ask you! Jean is a much more prolific beeb poster than me. I doubt that I post there a tenth of the time she does. If we happen to coincide once in a while, what of it? (As you know, I avoid WoM most of the time because JM is so nasty.) That I have to choose to avoid most threads where she and JM have exchanges saddens me. You've put the tin lid on it!

Ladies and gentlemen...... It would appear that we are not going to be informed as to who my "pet hate" and "latest pet" are. This is disappointing but not really surprising. I suppose it all comes down to whether a person prefers to look foolish when having made an error..... Or dishonest because they knew there was no truth in the first place.

I have now told the poster so roundly attacked by pippa and the marchesa what is being said about her, so it doesn't matter any more if you use her name, and it is up to her what she decides to do about it.
I couldn't think how to contact her as it is so long since our paths have crossed, but then I remembered that we were both members of sinistral's board.
I'm away now for a couple of weeks.

But my main beef is that you haven't mentioned me, the cakemember with aditudet, who's persona non grata with Spesh at least. In fact my dear Waterthingy, I read the Guardian most mornings on the web, admittedly to get myself all worked up and angry at its sanctimonious leftish posturing, but I also do admire some columnists like Toynbee, who, although I normally disagree with her, does make some very good points at times in an excellent, entertaining and provocative language. Some othrs have to be read to be believed. I also read the Indpendent most mornings - Alibahi-Brown is an excellent blood-boiler. Now , be honest, are not most of your colleagues on Cakie typicaly self-righteously PC? At least one is, self-evidently, Jean, who is so PC that it makes her dishonest. Isn't it a bit of an 'ism' to call me a queen though? Could it be Monarchism? Must check in the Grauniad to see if that is allowed. Sorry not to give you a mensh. With you being a fastidious person I am always surprised at your continuing membership of that reactionary board (don't you find it odd that the 'progressives' are really dyed-in-the-wool reactionaries, just waiting for a PC line in the sand to be crossed so they can react by applying one of their many labels?);I honestly did not want to embarrass you.

Asking gardening questions and crap like that.......oops,sorry......it's OK when you do it,eh? Come come Sinistral, you know very well that your board is a padded comfort zone for old dears that want to ramble and be nice to one another. That is why you regularly have to leave its cloying atmosphere to vent your spleen and meet something more challenging on boards like Madrigal and here. Having excised your bad vapours, you can then go back to your board and play Mrs Nicey, banning anyone who dares to do on your board what you routinely do on other boards Mind you, I am not complaining, each to their own and I do not blame you for throwing off your self-imposed restraints occasionally

But did I detect a touch of green in that post,m'dear? I suppose it is a bit of a pain...seeing people who can switch from one type of board to another, rather than being routinely rude wherever they go. Also rather sick making when an "old dear" like me can get a board going nicely, while a great intellect such as yours can't...... By the way.....did anyone ever find out what happened to your board? Was it death by the usual causes....or suicide?

Sinistral too under the spell of the gilded one! How does she do it? Accurate reading of human fallibilities, I suggest. Amazingly, she never tried to train ME to salivate on cue. I don't have to import a feud, sinistral. Remember the gilded one has already been here (WHprecursorboard) and done that and got the T-shirt. (As they say) human fallibility Marchesa, and everything to do with spending a LOT of time cultivating people. flattery can be used to manipulate and deceive. massaging fragile egos in public, and collecting people to later use to your advantage is an art that is both time consuming and takes a great deal of hard work and effort. i've noticed both on message boards and in real life certain people do have a rather special knack of using it to their advantage.
