like this: A Swarm hive is almost impossible to detect. When a hapless victim stumbles on a forum that houses a Swarm and disturbs it with a message that runs counter to its prevailing ideology, the Swarm will erupt without warning. Taken one at a time the irrelevant, often mindless attacks by individuals in a Swarm can be crushed or easily brushed aside, but because of the sheer volume of the assault even the strongest Warriors must yield. WARNING: Only those who are highly skilled in Swarm management techniques should attempt to wade into a Swarm hive. Protective clothing will not prevent a Warrior from getting a few stings.or this: Cyber Sisters are an extremely fierce confederation of fighting females who act something like a shrill Greek chorus, echoing and amplifying one another's voice until their foes retreat in disarray. They are generally leaderless, but anyone who challenges one Cyber Sister can expect to be savagely attacked by the others. Only the most powerful and battle-hardened of Warriors is strong enough to weather a Cyber Sisters attack.happy monday

Pippa... claims (and perhaps really believes) that her interventions help and support the victims of bullying,... since when? i think you'll find it's that she claims (and really believes) bullies should to be confronted with their behaviour. Oh I see!But don't the two rather go together? If you confront the bullies, isn't the idea that they slink away in shame and the victims can emerge into the sunlight and flourish unmolested? But as to your confronting me with my hounding and bullying behaviour, you've never done that once. You've spent pages and pages telling other posters about it - much of it having conveniently happened on boards that no longer exist, so they won't easily be able to check for themselves. You've never once been able to quote a post, and say Look, this post is an example of what I mean by bullying. The best you could do was hint and suggest that a particular disagreement with a particular poster was part of a behind-the-scenes conspiracy that you, pippa, alone were privy to. Even here, most recently, you can't find a single example of anyone bashing the marchesa on the gay marriage thread, even though you confidently announced that marchesa-bashing was its sole purpose. Now all you can manage is to post some cartoons of cyberbullies in action and hope that anyone reading will take your word for it that that's how I behaved in another time and place - since I am clearly not doing it here. Cheap, pippa. Cheap.

But don't the two rather go together? If you confront the bullies, isn't the idea that they slink away in shame and the victims can emerge into the sunlight and flourish unmolested? look i've got better things to do. you dragged me into yet another of your squabbles and i am merely responding to what you claim to know about me which is wrong. however inevitably when you confront a bully you are lending support to the bullied. i was simply refuting what you said about my intentions. your are wrong. nonsense. i've stuck my neck out on many an occasion by wading into the thick of it while someone was getting a good kicking. you are not listening jean. i said the thread was set up to bash marchesa. you only have to have a look at visitors posting history to realise what that poster/sockpuppet's(?) objective is. i have not claimed you're doing it here. however the cartoons are the clearest and simplest way of portraying the bullying behaviour i have confronted. so what is cheap about that? i would not be here now responding to you had you not dragged me into your latest squabble with: "Pippa on the other hand, though she claims (and perhaps really believes) that her interventions help and support the victims of bullying, actually does little but stir - even if she means well in doing so, which you probably don't."so if you'll forgive the pun i am merely setting you straight.

I've never dragged you anywhere, pippa. You're there, jumping up and down almost anywhere you know I post, just bursting to put the boot in. Always with completely the wrong end of any sticks available.
What you mean is I have waded into the thick of it without the faintest idea of what was really going on, so sure was I that I was always right about everything, whatever the evidence to the contrary.
Oh I'm listening all right, pippa.
You now say that only visitor was engaging in marchesa-bashing. But visitor only linked to what was up to that point quite a nasty thread elsewhere, which (remember) s/he and most of the rest of us here could not reply to there.
So does posting that link and making no further comment count as bashing? The thread was several pages long by the time you intervened; what other examples of bashing had been posted?
No they're not; they're a cheap and lazy way of avoiding having to provide any evidence for your claims that I bully people.
I wish you'd go and do them, then.
How about taking part in a discussion like a proper adult person, for a change.

Steve Bell, the best thing in the guardian, on the diplomatic row between the UK and Equador over Julian Assange.

I like Steve Bell's big cartoons, but I can't stick his strips. Doonesbury is much better.

Actually, The Guardian were going to get rid of Doonesbury a couple of years back. They managed it for a week, before they realised their mistake.
