... There was a long pause.
'Is that all?' Alice timidly asked.
'That's all,' said Humpty Dumpty. 'Good-bye.'
That's really unfair, jean, for you to quote a perfect piece and not parody it.
I slaved over my parodies, and I didn't resort to allusions to MR or pippa, tho I could've, as I’ve haddock up to here wiv 'em. I hake red herrings. A lot of huss over pouting.
------
The Big Irony over the Big Spat, if it's to do with accusations of marchesa-bashing, is that she's less bashed now than she ever was. The non-pugilists among us (like me) might've left-pawed her a few times, but soon desisted after she delivered the ruthless upper-cut, years ago. Why would we want to keep getting in the ring with such a big bruiser?
When will pippa realise that MR (and nay-missus, come to that) revel in, thrive on, pugilism? I'll spell it out, as they've done on their own behalves many times before...
They 'hate' what they see as as weak-minded liberals and the PC set. They therefore deliberately try to wind them up.
The weak-minded liberals and the PC set don't know it's them being attacked at first. They carry on their everday lives being weak-minded liberals. They then find themselves being punched in the ribs and kidneys.
Then they try to fight back.
But being weak-minded liberals and PC-minded too, they're crap at bashing anything.

That's really unfair, jean, for you to quote a perfect piece and not parody it. I know - but your parodies were so brilliant I couldn't compete. And my (or Carroll's) piece was about fish anyway, and if I'd parodied it, it wouldn't have been. (Really it's about nothing, and consequently unparodiable.)
