LINKOlay have been trounced for retouching Twiggys photo (in the eye area) to promote an eye cream Before: After: but, given that advertisers do have to sell stuff, and we buy any old crap, at what stage should truth hold out over spin?

does anyone agree with me that Twiggy looks far better in the un-doctored pic?
she still looks 15 years younger than her actual age - but she looks natural. the air brushed one looks a bit odd.
it might be helpful if all ads featuring models had some small print that indicated:
age of model - it's nonsense for a 20 year old to feature in an anti-aging cream for 40+ what 'enhancements' had been made to the photograph whether weight of model was within 'normal' parameters etc....

Adverts always lie. Even when they're not lying outright, they hide stuff.
"The best firms advertise the least."
And not only do they lie to us, they rip off idea from Athena posters from the 70s and then want us to call them artists. (I know what I'd call them, though.)

does anyone agree with me that Twiggy looks far better in the un-doctored pic? yes, i do bets. but i think someone elses mouth has been super imposed on the second pic. the teeth look similar but there's not the slightest similarity in the shape of the smile - it's totally different. how the neck and shoulders meet the face on the second pic looks all wrong and very odd if you look closely. i'd say there's a been a massive amount of doctoring, not just skin enhancement, on the second pic. jane fonda's anti aging cream ad, was it loreal? was apparently done just after she'd had a face-lift. its good there's been a hoo-ha, if only that we become more discerning.

You're right, pippa. Her neck has been seriously foreshortened!

Her jawline has been reshaped probably, but the photo has been taken from above, which may be enough to give that effect.

Why you should think v2 is Twiggy, I simply don't know.

They have huge budgets and they can't even do a good job.
