It was impossible to say who Chiles was talking about when he declared that he has given up pursuing beautiful women because they are "too complicated".
The BBC presenter made the comments as Miss Bleakley continued to date Frank Lampard, the Chelsea and England footballer. They began seeing one another last month.
In an interview with a Croatian newspaper, Chiles, 42, said: "I just want someone to take care of me." Chiles said he wanted to meet a smart person with a sense of humour - "not necessarily a beautiful one, as beautiful women are often too complicated", the Croatian Times reported. TelegraphAre men or women more likely to admit they are over-reaching when they pursue someone out of their league? Is there a gender diference? I ask because if there is not then surely nobody would ever settle for their eventual mate?
