Hi marchesrosa
Next time you feel the need to post on WUWT keep the petty squabbling politicisation out of it. A number of posters were correct in asking for a better graphic-at least measurably accurate. The responses were all good-humoured and taken in good spirit.
There's nothing wrong with seeking complete autonomy for Scotland. As this AGW scam continues, all political parties both within the UK and Scotland, are fast-tracking towards not only meeting the 2020 EU agreement on renewable electricity production, but vastly exceeding it, at some 40%. Indeed, a world-leading figure, bar none.
Our means? Wind-generation. There's not a week goes past that consent is not given for yet more turbines, yet next to nothing spent from any source on off-shore tidal/wave ability. It was London that in '08 kaiboshed the carbon sequestration proposals for sub-surface deposition, failing to meet the agreed 50:50 cost-share with BP. That's politicisation.

I've only just noticed this thread! Aren't some folk touchy! A number of posters on this thread wattsupwiththat.com/2010/03/05/baltic-sea-ice-traps-ships/ about Baltic sea ice at WUWT were making heavy weather about the designation of places on a European map (designating the UK as England, actually) and punctuation and generally irritating Anthony Watts. I commiserated and said to take no notice of the pedants and the Scots Nats. That's ALL. As for crossopter's claim that everything was "good humoured", it's not true. Anthony got distinctly tetchy! And he's the one who counts in my book! In fact he closed the thread after a plethora of irrelevant posts re Scotland which he described as "nitpicking". Unheard of! Personally, I have no axe to grind re either Scotland or England. My two maternal grandparents were Aberdonians. If anyone is stirring the nationalist pot it's our latest member. I don't think we'll be visited again by him, somehow.
