Tee hee. You can't say this board doesn't attract wit!
So we won't!

Old Sago - breaking the habit of a lifetime and grunting more than one line at a time. That is one one of Nay's favourite insults, I must say. But the rest of the post is definitely substandard.

I don't think he's imitating sin, Jade - though he may be imitating the poster alan suspects may have written it (and managed to fool alan).

Why would you waste effort to distinguish one mean-spirited clone from another? That way madness lies.
But, it has to be said, sock-puppets always were the cakboard's main staple and preoccupation! That and being "stalked", if I remember right.
Reminds me of humourist, Bill Bryson's reason for repatriating to the USA after many years residence in Yorkshire. When 3.7million of my countrymen believe they have been abducted by aliens it is time to return. My country needs me.
Who is going to be the Bill Bryson to the cakboard fantasists?

It might be quite important to those you term the cakboard fantasists whether a given unpleasant post emanated from one of their number, or rather from the egregious Nay.
But I wouldn't expect you to understand that.

Because the marchesa is not the only person who reads this board, alan.

I think tobytops is spotybot, scratching an itch.
Do we apply Ogden Nash: Happiness is having a scratch for every itch. OR the Zen proverb: Scratch first, itch later. ?

Ah! You would not expect the cakeboarders to understand. Now I understand. You have, I presume, explained this on their board.

No Aquatic, I think it is Marcus Aurelius or that Vibrant thing.

Ah! You would not expect the cakeboarders to understand. Now I understand. Apparently you don't, alan. I said I would not expect the marchesa to understand. The cakeboarders almost certainly would. But this board is read by those who are not cakeboarders, and who are not the marchesa either.

Perhaps you should have said, 'I do not expect Marchesa to understand'.

In my #20 I was replying directly to the marchesa's #19, alan.
I wrote:
'It might be quite important to those you term the 'cakboard fantasists' whether a given unpleasant post emanated from one of their number, or rather from the egregious Nay.
But I wouldn't expect you to understand that.'
I thought it was clear that 'you' referred to the marchesa, to whom I was replying, but I can see I should have made allowances.

Which takes us back to my original question, You wrote,"But I wouldn't expect you (Marchesa) to understand that." "So why did you post it?"
