Which takes us back to my original reply to your original question, alan:
"Because the marchesa is not the only person who reads this board."
And then, you see, although I am addressing the marchesa, those others will read my reply, and will understand what she could not.

Should it not have been, "No-one will understand". So you are presuming that we are all of limited intelligence?

Let me clarify, I accept that we are all of limited intelligence, as was Einstein.

No, alan, it should not, and I am not, though I am beginning to think it should have been 'It might be quite important to those you, marchesa, term the 'cakboard fantasists' whether a given unpleasant post emanated from one of their number, or rather from the egregious Nay.
But I wouldn't expect you, marchesa, to understand that, on account of your lack of sensitivity to the feelings of others; nor would I expect alan to understand it, because he is of limited intelligence.
But I expect everyone else will do very well.'

Ignoring the troll, I accept that I am of limited intelligence as are all humans. Did you miss that one? I await your great clarification, do you expect Marchesa to understand or not? Leave aside the spectators and answer the question.

Aw,isn't that touching? Sweet Rosa's friends have all come rushing to her aid. Old Sago - breaking the habit of a lifetime and grunting more than one line at a time. Little Sinni - taking a break from her terminally boring board. And perky Pippa the resident expert on cake. With friends like these, etc. Wish I'd said that! Like the cut of this Toby fellow's jib meself! Seems far more flowing and coruscating than is the wont of cakeboard members who are uniformly exceptional in the dullard department Could be septicsceptic copying my style (Sago grunt) as he often did in the past, but the spelling is good and the English grammatical.

As everyone, even the befuddled old fart, knows, I have always used my own name except when I appeared on the BBC as Juan Ujorgan and Ellen von Frogenland, both of which I later declared when they had served their purpose.
