See the difference? The 1920s-30s are lower and the 1990s higher.

The effect of the adjustments since 2000 has been to bring the USHCN history (raw data) more in line with the NOAA/ CRU "version".



So much for the “independence” of the various data series. They are all fiddling the raw trend data in the same direction - upwards.

Another important thing to stress about these graphs is that the fiddling is on the level of one tenth of a degree Centigrade.

Do people really think the future of the planet's economies should be thrown into an ideological stew for the sake of such fractional variations which are smaller than the margins of error involved in computing them?
