This is a bit of a coincidence! I had no idea Pippa had posted the most recent thread on this board about Gerry Rafferty! Just heard this as one of Alex Salmond’s Desert Island Discs - Baker Street www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSxGNg76kAA&feature=player_embeddedGerry Rafferty had a 1978 hit with 'Baker Street'. Raphael Ravenscroft was the session saxophonist who helped make it a hit. I liked the Saxophone accompaniment very much. Orgasmic! In the same way the culmination of Liebestodt from Wagner’s Tristan and Isolde is. Here is that is too, for good measure! www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKIkKRvmLugYes, I know, I'm very predictable!
