thanks for the link marchesa. now i can catch up on the first hour which i missed. watched the other reggae progs until about half 1 last night which included a concert at the barbican held on 5 feb 11 where Denis Alcapone sang the song i linked to. good programme i last saw Desmond Dekker on jules holland's hootenanay which i'd thought was only couple of years ago but turns out it was 2004. sadly he died two years later in 2006. one of those men who gets even better looking as they get older, i thought. really liked Neville Staple of the specials.

the reggae season continues on bbc4. tonight focusses on Toots of Toots and the Maytals. what an exhuberant and soulful voice he has. watching the lush exotic tropical scenery, blue/aquamarine caribbean sea and the raw basic lifestyle not to mention the thick clouds of smoke really makes me want to be there. sweet and dandy none too keen on that chris blackwell who made his fortune promoting the music and exploiting the muscians. nobody seems resentful or bitter.
