"It’s a matter of packaging and presentation" says Mike Hulme about Climategate in a radio4 interview just now on PM 5th Dec 2009. (Wasn't that the mantra in the dying days of the John Major government?)
He’s still unrepentently pushing “climatechangeism” trying to include all the disparate problems of the modern world under his particular umbrella whilst dumping the scientists who stoked the fires of warmism.
This man has FAR too much invested in his career as climatechange guru ever to concede it’s all based on fiddled arithmetic and smoke and mirrors.
In fact, UEA would probably go bankrupt without the multiple stipends, government and international grants, student fees and other earnings that flow into the MANY Departments devoted to the "science", policy and propaganda of “climatechange”.
One cannot help but suspect that this man is afraid the gravytrain is going to stop and is determinedly shovelling coal into the boiler.
Have no fear Mike, if this train "moves on" (as the AGWers are prone to say) another one will be in the station before too long and I'm sure you'll be able to find some way to hitch a ride on it.
The PC have the knack of being able to catch the next wave, don't they? (sorry, mixed metaphors)
