I began by pointing out that UKIP had no support in my ward.
You then observed that they had no candidate there.
I further declared that this was in all likelihood a matter of policy, as they knew they wouldn't get any support here.
You think that's too obvious to need saying.
It appears that we are in perfect agreement.

But nevertheless you could not resist saying it with your "UKIP? Never heard of them."
Of course not. They were not standing, just as Greens were not standing everywhere either. You don't expect a rapidly rowing party like UKIP to suddenly have candidates everywhere, do you?
But remind me, how many council seats did UKIP gain and how many seats did the Green Party gain? 15 compared to UKIP's 128 in spite of their not standing in all seats.
Don't crow, jean. You know what they say about a crowing hen.

You don't expect a rapidly rowing party like UKIP to suddenly have candidates everywhere, do you? Only between Henley and Maidenhead; and then the estuary's the limit.

But along the way you can, if you've got the bottle, bell and candle, visit Stanley Spencer's ghost, and the Mad Monks of Medmenham, who refused to die.
(1960s O level history: John Wilkes and the Hellfire Club. What nonsense!).
