The National Grid, it is today reported, has stated that businesses that use large amounts of electricity will be paid to switch off their electrical machinery in peak demand periods
This is necessary because the the combination of ‘Green’ and fossil- derived electrical energy is insufficient to meet the demand in winter time, and unless drastic measures such as this are employed, random electricity black-outs will occur in Britain. (electricity black-outs are a common features of third-world countries)
This problem basically arises because of under-investment in fossil-derived electricity because of over-investment in 'Green' energy. Wind farms are of course unpredictable in their reliability of electricity production because of the intermittency of wind. They require 100% back-up from fossil-derived electricity if they contribute any large fraction of the electricity demand. This 100% back-up is simply not available as coal-fired plants are closed down
All this would make sense if every country in the world agreed with the large-scale introduction of wind-powered electricity. They do not. Our major competitors reject the notion of reliance on expensive 'Green' energy and are actively vastly increasing their fossil -derived electricity
Not only does Britain's 'Green' policy put Britain at a severe commercial disadvantage in comparison to our competitors (our electricity costs a re very high in comparison to our competitors) but the 'Green' policy is nullified in its stated purpose of reducing CO2 pollution a the increase of CO2 by our competitors far outweighs any reduction of CO2 that Britain's 'Green' policies may bring about
We are witnessing irresponsible madness, a lunatic loony green madness applied by our government
