So the Telegraph reports Fortunately those 30 Killed Britons were Moslsem Jihadists Unfortunately there are still some 370 yet to be killed Interestingly the Foreign Secretary is contemplating bringing charges of treason against those Britons that join ISIL This apparently would be based upon the fact that they swear allegiance to ISIL - foreign power Good stuff
But what about our British EU Commissioners? They swear allegiance to the EU In fact our current Commissioner, one Lord Hill has also sworn lifeong allegiance to HM the Queen as a condition of becoming a Lord
Doesn't sound to me as if charges of treason against the Moslem fanatics will get far
Better to stick to killing them off

Does Treason still carry the death penalty here?
That shouldn't worry a moslem, anyway. They regularly carry out executions for apostasy which is equivalent to treason.

Does Treason still carry the death penalty here? No. But if the UK withdraws from the EU and distances itself from the ECHR and the Council of Europe, it could reintroduce it. What a good wheeze.

If you even have a rudimentary grasp of history, or of what this country is about, you'd understand that it's far more likely we'll easily outstrip the EU in the furtherance of "human rights", whatever you take that to mean. Barring complete economic breakdown and socio-economic disaster. Not happened to us yet - as for Europe, you want to take a bet?
