Mr Barroso Fat, unelected ex Communist President of the EU Commission hailing from the failed State of Portugal
Actually I have quite a bit of sympathy with his arguments against Cameron's plans to limit EU immigration
He is quite right, it is against EU rules and will be illegal if Cameron unilaterally attempts it
The Fat Apparatchick from Portugal is simply stating the truth of what many British Prime Ministers have put their signature to
They have agreed entirely with what Mr Barrosso says, indeed they have been instrumental in implementing what he must say The British Parliament has endorsed entirely what Mr Barrosso tells us
So we should not be surprised that he is reminding us of our duties and responsibilities under the Agreements that have been signed by our Masters
The only honourable solution is withdrawal

I’m now convinced that Cameron is, as his near anagram, a chameleon:
I'm a man without conviction I'm a man who doesn't know How to sell a contradiction You come and go You come and go ... Every day is like survival You're my lover not my rival Every day is like survival You're my lover not my rival
I'm a man without conviction I'm a man who doesn't know How to sell a contradiction You come and go You come and go
[Chorus 3x]
I also blame it on Boy George, of course. Who wouldn’t?
Is Cameron relying on the demographics of the situation? Those of us who were old enough to vote in the 1975 ‘Common Market’ referendum*, and maybe have become disillusioned. Vs. those born later (like Cameron) who’ve not taken much interest at all. Vs. those born even later, but love seeing Nigel smoking and drinking on TV.
I assume Cameron is gambling that if he won’t get back as PM (likely) he doesn’t have to follow thru with anything, so he can promise anything; but if he does get back in, he can blame the rejection of his preposterous Europe-busting ideas on the (more sensible) electorate, and say to his party he tried.
Weasel.
*I voted No, btw, but have massively changed my mind, as a realist and progressive and peace-lover.

I voted "NO!" in the 1975 referendum, aqua, when the Common Market was just a trading bloc of 8 nations. It is much worse now! I hope we get a proper opportunity to vote to come out. If UKIP spurs on the debate so much the better.

I don't vote for personal gain, fat woman, but on principle.
It's a matter of sovereignty for me. Deficient though our democracy is it is infinitely superior to that of Brussels.
For the same reason I would have voted for Scottish independence if I had had a vote.
