It's the only possible point.
Your ignorance is not something I can answer for.
(A question that might have occurred to the idiot Kippers: why, given that the interviews were being conducted outside a mosque, did not a single Muslim appear on the screen?)

My understanding, nay, is that the pointed arch of Gothic Architecture is a borrowing from Islam, probably picked up during the First Crusade.

I think cleefy probably knows that Gothic is not an especially English style, marchesa. I'm sure he also knows that flying buttresses are much more French than English.
I fear he's ahead of you on this one.

The detail here may have been influenced by the architecture of the Indian subcontinent - Pevsner certainly thought so:

But how about Green liar Natalie Bennet attracting some "derision" for her claim yesterday on Any Questions that the UK was "falling behind the rest of the world" in renewable energy provision? Whaaat? Yes I caught that too Its amazing how these politicians tell blatant lies to suit their case what a harridan though? Who on earth would be attracted to the Greens with someone like her in charge?

But how about Green liar Natalie Bennet attracting some "derision" for her claim yesterday on Any Questions that the UK was "falling behind the rest of the world" in renewable energy provision? Whaaat? The UK has more offshore wind turbines than the rest of the world put together. Sorry, Natalie, you are an ill informed bigot. Or, more likely, an ideologically driven liar. No-one picked her up on her blatant falsehood. No-one knew, I guess, just like a vanishing small proportion of the population recognise Westminster Cathedral. Unfortunately I wasn't able to listen to all of "Any Questions", but did hear some of it. Was it the Green who said immigration wasn't a problem, that the lack of housing and school places was a government policy problem? Shouldn't a Green be concerned with our green spaces being built over? And the inability for this small island to feed itself without importing food from abroad?

Jessica-Jane, the Greens are more concerned about gay rights than the stuff that bothers the average person. They are also statists who fancy themselves as a cadre of global apparatchiks. They don't give a toss if they mislead the ignorant with their lies and exaggerations. They sincerely believe they occupy the moral high ground.

Jean, how about this for selective reporting of the actialité? From your wiki article "At the 2014 European elections the Green Party finished fourth, above the Liberal Democrats, winning over 1.2 million votes." Remind me WHO won most votes and seat in that election, please? I guess Greens have learned to make a little go a long way! www.bbc.co.uk/news/events/vote2014/eu-uk-results

Remind me what the article was supposed to be about, marchesa?
What was its title, and presumed subject matter?
