I despair! I absolutely, utterly and bludy well totally despair! UKIPs policies are all bollux!
Not that I know what the are - it has simply been brought to my attention what their IMMIGRATION policy is
Current politics are about one thing and one thing only and that is immigration
All else, all other policies pale into insignificance when put alongside immigration
Our country has been transformed by immigration In many parts of Britain to be English is to be a stranger , a foreigner in your own land English is the least heard language in many towns and cities
This is no longer our country but a bastardised product if 'globalisation'
Immigration MUST change, MUST be stopped in its tracks if we are to retain the identity that has given much more to the world than any other nation
All English people now recognise that Labour, the Conservatives, the Lib-Dems have utterly failed the English people - in their consiummate disdain for 'populism' they have ignored and ridden rough-shod over the fears the voice, the very legacy of the English people
So the disenfranchised people are turn to alternatives that they perceive do listen their fears and give their inner thoughts and aspirations a voice
The major beneficiary of this disillusionment of the English with our political parties party is UKIP
That party broadcasts it 'voice of the people' mantra and thrives upon it
And the people believe and vote UKIP or at least they vote UKIP because it might be an alternative
BUT WAIT
Just look at UKIPs IMMIGRATION policy
It will allow a NET IMMIGRATION 50,000 people per year
NET! Now approximately 300,000 people LEAVE the UK every year and this has been happening for years !
SO UKIP IMMIGRATION POLICY WILL ALLOW IN 350.000 IMMIGRANTS PER YEAR
Jus who in UKIP thought up this bludy policy?
It is one Mr Woofe who proclaims it
Get rid of him!
Because of Mr Woolfe UKIP is actually no different from other parties with this policy!
Anyone that actually CARES about the survival of our English culture should shout loudly and forcefully at UKIP and pour scorn upon them until they change this pernicious policy

The world being what it is, it’ll keep changing. Quite rapidly at times, and more slowly at others.
I’m not particularly fussed, even if we’re in the rapid phase (which I think we are) – because I don’t know how much time I have left myself. I happen still to be English as well as British. I learnt the distinction from racists, but didn’t accept it as it’s all bollux.

I learnt the distinction from racists, but didn’t accept it as it’s all bollux. An admirably concise encapsulation of the little egg-nest of liberal-left prejudicial doctrines, short-sighted arrogant self-centredness, and blatant economic exploititativeness, that have - predictably and predicted - produced this mess. But it must be slowly sinking in to even people like you by now - by which I mean the bien-pensant middle-class liberal-left governing elite who "planned" all this - that it's all over? Your happy multicultural dirigiste Utopia didn't arrive, and never will?

Much of it is now dependant on a large influx of foreign fee-paying students in order to fund its enormous growth. Much of that growth has been in disciplines that are virtually worthless to the economic needs of a competitive developed country, of course; so there's an inescapable need for large numbers of foreign people with the skills that our eductaion system no longer adequately imparts. As you say, skilled white British are reading the runes and effectively leaving Detroit - so UKIP have no choice but to accept this evidently self-undermining policy, else have to splutter when presented by Dimbleby, Balls &c with these basic economic facts.

Collapse of stout party seems imminent. But before you go, cleefy, ...English is the least heard language in many towns and cities... Could you give some examples? One example, even? Llanybydder. Not because of the Welsh-speakers. The Poles now outnumber them too. A very large abattoir there, you see - where your Welsh lamb comes from, if you eat it. It used to be the last-ditch go-to for the local under-educated yoof, of course - those who got a bit fed-up with being hassled by the Jobcentre after a few years, or who couldn't find a lass to impregnate for their council house - but that was when there were available council houses, and when there were available non-skilled jobs.

Llanybydder (I am told) has a total population of some 1,423, almost three quarters of whom are Welsh-speaking. The abattoir is indeed the largest business there; of its 650 workers, some 350 are migrants, mostly Poles but also Slovaks and Czechs.
So only about a quarter of the inhabitants are not native Welsh or English speakers. And should they settle there permanently, their children will grow up speaking English and/or Welsh.
Try again.

Llanybydder (I am told) has a total population of some 1,423, almost three quarters of whom are Welsh-speaking. That was true when I lived not far away, ten to fifteen years ago, as it had been for centuries. Now it's about a third Welsh-speaking, a quarter English (nearly all aged middle-class urban refugees, retired or employed at the university), a third Polish, and a significant and growing proportion of Arabs (the wahabis funding a large department of "Islamic Studies", as they do in many other small university towns, as part of their policy of spreading Islamism throughout Western Europe). That may have been true five or so years ago. Now the Poles have pretty much established themselves; they are not only by far the largest group employed (in the whole town - indeed, the whole vicinity), they also operate most of the local shops, account for most of the local children (the school now teaches in Polish and Welsh - English is now not even the second language), and of course occupy the vast majority of the local public housing stock. No - you're out of date. As Aqua blithely points out, things are rapidly changing. And there is not the smallest sign that that is slowing down, or could be slowed down, without a massive political upheaval (coming soon to a screen near you). There is no sign that any intend to return - they are very nicely settled, thankyou, so they say. And I assure you, their children are not learning English. Later, when they move on to high school, they'll learn it as a second (third, in their case) language. Write it large, Ms.Pedant.

...And I assure you, their children are not learning English. No, of course not - in a Welsh-speaking area, they'll start off with Welsh. My experience of teaching English to Poles leaves me in no doubt that they'll be fluent in English very quickly. They are excellent linguists.

I visited friends there for a week only a couple of months ago. No need to make anything up. It's rather yuour need to close your eyes, prevaricate, obfuscate, hallucinate, anything but face up to the consequences of your deluded idealism.
