Someone called Deborah Lane has just posted a new thread on the beeb about ANOTHER proboard offering the same facilities as the one that is going to get the chop. It is not my board. I like to support people obliged to start anew because their favourite has been shut down.
If you get over to R4 boards now you will see the mighty one being forced to concede and treating well-known posters as fools. Would you believe it, one lady asked, "Why are you being so offensive?"
Can't blame me this time, I have not even posted.

Can't the mods see what's happening?
Is every message board going to be systematically ideologically cleansed?

Most of the 'Warmists' have been banned outright - Kiteman, Havelock, Joe K Is this 'science' board actually a 'skeptic' board? How come the skeptics aren't able to argue their case without getting their opponents banned? |

The real abusers and bad faith merchants have been given the chop outright - supervillain Kiteman and trollhunter Joe K.
Just stick to discussing climate matters, Mr Smith, and you'll be OK, too.
None of the warmists have been axed. Lazarus = Havelock, as we all know. Two for the price of one!
If the board looks "sceptical" its because sceptics make the running. We develop the arguments and spell out the contradictions. The others just quote the "orthodoxy". Who is rushing to support lazarus? No-one. He's lonely, I guess.

I never complained about anyone! Kiteman and Havelock took themselves off in a huff leaving nasty farewell notes and Joe K just pushed his luck too far with the mods over his inflammatory language re "liars" etc and never uttered a word about the climate or any other science subject. Weird that the self-styled "trollhunter" turned out to be the only troll on the board! The rest of us just want to talk about science, climate, scientific evidence and stuff.
You can't pin the demise of kiteman, havelock and Joe K on us sceptics, I'm afraid, visitor! They have to blame themselves. The blogosphere is different from the BBC, thank goodness.
Well, I'll have time to do a little more reading. I was going to do some gardening but it's bloody cold, windy and raining here in Leeds this morning and I've had to turn on the CH I'm so perished!

Kiteman and Havelock left. They were not banned. The door was merely closed behind them by all accounts.
Joe K publicly touted his own ineffable cyber-cleverness a tad to much in circumventing the efforts of the mods to promote a less aggressive atmosphere. Pride comes before a fall, don't they say, visitor?
Why don't you suggest he start his own climate blog if you think Joe K is some sort of "warmist", visitor? He is not a warmist, in fact, by his own admission. He is merely a promoter of interpersonal aggro and nothing else. That is what turns him on. There is no place for that on a science board, or anywhere else for that matter. But, having failed to subdue his personal bugbear from the old BBC board, he tried to take out his frustration on the mods. They weren't having any! Grand pair o' gels, apparently - you never can tell, these days, can you!

out of some 15 registrations on that day, these two are so close together, that, coupled with other pointers and indicators leave a conclusion that some were acting in concert. I don't doubt that some will say that is not 'evidence', no that's true, only the 'mods' can [perhaps] tell.

Well, I was never in doubt that Havelock was Lazarus. They both disappeared simultaneously from the BBC and here at exactly the same time before the last Bank Holiday and simultaneously reappeared on the BBC and here on Tuesday afternoon afterwards.
I also believe Sprain is the third part of this Multiple Personality Disordered triumvirate of sockpuppets. In fact I recognised the familiar style before I realised who Lazarus was. I was in quite a lot of contact with Sprain back in 2007. His "style" made an impression on me.
And I don't believe Deborah Lane's "avalanche" story at all, sorry! Who could find my contributions objectionable? She must have been playing to the gallery, or summat.
Get back over there at once, all of you, and argue the hell out of Lazarus, without persecuting the poor lad, of course! He'll be feeling he is not fulfilling his remit if he doesn't attract a least a little flak.
